The larger flowered form of D. polysema, so another section Latouria Dendrobium. There has been some debate as to whether it is a separate species, confounded by the fact that Schlechter’s type specimen was destroyed by fire. Up to 12, large, long lived flowers which are cream through to gold with maroon markings and densly hairy outer surfaces.
