Dendrobium forbesii

Probably the most floriferous and attractive Latouria Dendrobium with up to 20, white and green flowers per spike. These are scented, up to 7cm across and have a covering of thick hairs on the ovary and on the reverse side of the sepals. The flowers are also long lived and each cane can produce flower spikes over several years. This orchid grow naturally in the eastern New Guinea highlands and can be grown in cool through to warm conditions with even watering throughout most the year although slightly less in the winter.
